Even splitting seems like a bad way for JD to handle this as two tank carts are a 40/60 split.

I named the same prescription differently. Like
FTSORBOUREA for Front Tank, Sorbo, Urea
BTSORBOUREA for Back Tank, Sorbo, Urea.

Used Map math to make 40/60 Split. Operator Happy.

We screwed up on our first field because we were running both bins with the same product.

The actual rates showed the full rates on each bin, so we then set the scaling factor for each bin to 50%. This made it so when we had a map rate of 200 lbs that we had 100 coming from each bin.

When the GS2 sees the same product in multiple bins assigned to the same map, it automatically splits it, even though there is no indication on the display, it is being done. If you turn off one of the bins, the other one will double in speed.

Not working no target rate

I was working with a coop to Vr some fert with a Zynx X=20 they had in there spreader. Coundn't get it to work. Called everyone I could think of, ended up being a simple fix. A Zynx requires NEMA GPS strings to come in on two com ports. Found the DB9 splitter and installed it and it worked. The give away that this is going on is that if you are in prescription area. You should see a boom where you currently are in the prescription. If you do not see where you are at in the prescription on the VRC tab. Make sure you have GPS going to VRC.

We had some glen wheat pushing 90 this year. I think if you use that as a yield goal and use 2.5 as a miltiplier it will lodge. Our did.

We are selling a 61FT JD 1820 Air Seeder. It comes with a three bin cart, conveyor, NH3
System with 5 section shutoff. It is run through an AgLeader Insight with all the unlocks.
It has a striptill module and a liquid control module on it. It is run by hydraulic drives
and has 360 pulse sensors along with agtron bin sensors. Asking Price is 75,000.

Same thing happened to me.

Got a phone call in the middle of card building. Had to start over. Best done in middle of night, when farmers are asleep.

THE DREADED ATS TASK CONTOLLER

The following information is for those people who have to write to the following piece of equipment.

A Horsch Anderson icart with a Agtron D3 drill manager. Useing a Raven NH3 system. With the Agco tasc controller. The one with TC on left side of screen.

First thing make sure that the Task Controller's TC type is set to OTHER. Your choices are JD, OTHER and None. Choose Other and POWER OFF DISPLAY. You have to power off dispaly and power it back on for it to recognize the change in TC Type. While in other, Vr channel does not matter it will open up all channels. (WHEN using a GS2 and this system VR channel has to correspond with the channel that you want to control.)

It seems to me that the ATS task controller has an issue if the drill operator leaves the boundary area. In my case the operator was filling the drill on the next field directly across a field change, so he didn't have trucks in the field.

Here is basically what happens.
In VT you have two icons on the left side of your screen TC and D3. Tc controls the prescription. D3 is of course the drill monitor.

I am running 11-52-0 and NH3 prescriptions through this system.
1. You go to the field and set up prescription in TC. It pretty much steps you throught the process.

2. you go to the D3 Icon and seed. Fert goes up and down. Everyone is happy.

3. Operator leaves boundary area of field. Things go south.

4. The controller has a lost of GPS default, but not a out of prescription area default. The OofPA (a new acronym is just made up----out of prescription area) is set at ZERO and for saftey's sake it turns of the NH3 channel.

5. Then operator returns to the prescription area-- guess what nothing happens still at zero.

6. Then operator in D3 trys to manually change the rate. taps 0 and enters in 50 for example. THe controller will accept 50 for a split second then the prescription takes over again at 0. NH3 channel is still off.

7. Operator then calls me-upset.

8. I ask him why he is leaving field. He say's to fill drill. I say I guess that logical.

9. In order to remedy operator has to go back in the TC icon stop the prescription. Then has to start the prescription again. Fun.

10. When operator doesn't leave prescription area, this controller and machine will fuction sweet, and has a very fast reaction time for both 11-52-0 and NH3.

Also the display that I was using had an RS232 connection on it for GPS. in GPS tab it was on com port 2.

Also I have about an 800 acre field going out at 30 meter resolution. It is doing a great job of handling that.
Question for you guys.

1. has anyone ever seen an owners manual for one of these? I would sell my middle child for access to one. (she whines alot, I mean alot)

2. Has anyone else wrote to this setup and have any good pointers for me?

3. I am doing something wrong on the OofPA thing?

Merge Setting on Task Controller

When starting a new Task Controller card, on the last prompt, set Merge=False.
Then on subsequent runs if you want to add a field to an existing run set Merge=True.
The card will not work if the first run is not done with Merge=False.

saving multiple exports to one folder

this may be obviuos, but when exporting multiple fields to the same folder (automatically named "Task Data"), save the next export to the folder above the "Task Data" folder. For instance, I named a folder under my grower "spring 2010 VT spread files". If you save the second export to the "Task Data" folder, it will create another "Task Data" folder under that, which I believe is wrong.

Also need to keep track of which fields you have exported (say, interrupted with a phone call, etc.) as I don't see a way to find that info in the export folder.
